The HOUSING RESOURCE PROGRAM is continually developing new housing resources through networking and community relations for the purpose of increased accessibility to public and/or private housing for persons that meet

Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Service (DMHAS) target population.

When a person's needs meet the appropriate criteria, the following ser-vices are provided to increase their quality of housing environment:

· Access to Bridge Subsidy Funds
· Subsidized Housing Assistance
· Rental assistance
· Coordination of support services
· Eviction Prevention
· Security Deposit Funds

The Housing Resource Director is actively involved in housing coordination with other agency coordinators to include:

· Planning
· Strategy
· Organizing
· Implementing
· Coordination

In addition, Reliance House's Housing Director works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team comprised of case managers, a substance abuse counselor and a rehabilitation specialist to meet the needs of homeless adults in New London County.

The goal is to provide people with housing opportunities and increase the likelihood of successful
tenant/landlord relationships and therefore, to increase the stability of people's housing.
